About Charlie & Ben
As Charlie & Ben enters it's fourth year in the online marketplace our goals and aims remain the same, to provide you the customer with high quality, practical dog supplies and cat accessories at at fair price. As dog owners ourselves this is what we demand and we ensure that any products we stock have been rigorously tested by our dogs, Harvey and Lester or by other dog owners we know (you may have noticed the Toy Testers Wanted ad on our homepage, just sign up to the newsletter and your dog or cat could be one of our randomly selected pooches or pussies to receive a dog toy or cat toy for to test for us and all you have to do is send us a review!). Charlie & Ben is still owned and ran by husband and wife team Mark and Debbie Nelson and after a 3 year prescence in the Gatesheads Metro Centre, the business is now purely operated as an online boutique, which gives us the opportunity to offer a wider range of dog accessories and cat products and introduce new products as soon as they become available.

Meet the Boys!

We have 2 Cockapoo Pups, Harvey (who is 4 in 2010) an Apricot Cockapoo and Lester (who is 3 in 2010) a Red Cockapoo. Both are English Cocker Spaniel (Mother) and Miniature Poodle (Father) cross's and came from two different breeders. Both are exceptionally fun loving dogs and enjoy each others company immensly. Harvey has more of the stubborn Cocker Spaniel nature, whereas as Lester has more of the Poodles timidness and wouldn't say boo to a goose! Size wise Harvey is bigger than Lester and is more of a large spaniel size, whereas Lester is more like a King Charles Spaniel size. Both Harvey and Lester continue to provide the inspiration for the business, from finding new products to make their lives more comfortable and enjoyable to working with manufacturers to develop new lines of dog clothing. They both like nothing better than getting into their favourite harnesses for a stroll along the beach or in the park. You'll find a few pictures of them dotted around the website as they like to do the occassional bit of modelling, Harvey especially!
